Hello! My 9-year-old daughter brought a ‘fitness” card home from school this spring that showed their weight and level of fitness in October and again in April. She grew an inch, but she lost 10 pounds in that time period. She looks healthy, but I am concerned about the weight loss, because her diet has not changed and neither has her level of exercise.
She also started wetting the bed about once a week, and her underwear and pants are always a bit wet with urine. She says it doesn’t hurt at all though.
I thought about diabetes, but her thirst and hunger level have not changed, and there is no family history of juvenile diabetes (and she is not overweight).
Thyroid problems run in the family, and so I wonder about this also.
Any thoughts on this? Thank you.
