Pilates is Good for You

If you’re thinking about joining a pilates class, or you’re just going to be doing some pilates at home, you should learn more about some abdominal pilate exercises. This will help you tone all the muscles in your body, and will burn the fat in your abdominal area, and you’ll start to notice real definition in all your muscles in just a few weeks.

The abdominal pilate exercises that you may see in videos, or even in class, may seem simple at first glance, but if you’re doing the exercises correctly, they can definitely be a challenge. Your muscles are being worked in ways that you may not be accustomed to. So, if you’re a beginner, you should make sure that you’re pacing yourself correctly so that you can prevent muscle damage and cramping. Be sure to keep your feet planted firmly on the floor when you’re doing the pilates exercises in order to keep your back muscles intact.

You should also make sure that your core muscles are engaged during each part of the abdominal pilate exercises. Keep your breathing steady and even, so that your muscles are getting enough oxygen throughout the entire workout. Pull your belly button into your spine to keep your muscles tight and continue to create tone in your core.

Your neck and shoulders should also have enough support throughout your abdominal pilate exercises. Your shoulders and arms will be off the pilates mat for the majority of your workouts, and your eyes should be focused on your abdominal muscles during the entire workout. This means that your upper body will be facing slightly down at all times, and this will automatically tone the muscles in your upper abdominal area.

When you’re doing abdominal pilate exercises, it’s important to make sure that your diet is in good shape as well. You will need to cut out simple sugars from your diet. The ingredients that you may find in packaged foods and baked goods will often settle in your stomach, and turn to fat very easily. This makes it very hard to lose weight, because simple sugars only give you a little energy. So, try using things like fruit juice or honey instead of white sugar when you’re baking or cooking. It is also important to take out refined flours from your diet. Whole wheat flours and pasta should be added to your diet, since your body can use these foods for energy for a few hours, and you won’t feel so hungry. Most people that do pilates on a regular basis also eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, since these are healthy sources of fiber that will make for a great core. Enjoy your workout!

Can You Burn Abdominal Fat Fast?

Many people want to know how to go about burning abdominal fat. Abdominal fat can be difficult to get rid of and many people want to specifically lose fat in that region. Losing belly fat is important for not just looking good but also important for your health. But there is no magic product or diet that will suddenly cause your abdominal fat to disappear and a six pack of abs to appear. It will take quite a bit of work.

While being overweight is considered unhealthy, it is where you store fat on your body that is the issue. If you have an apple shaped body with a lot of fat around the abdomen then you have a greater chance of developing diabetes and heart disease as compared to those who are pear shaped. The key to losing belly fat is to make sure that you are persistent and consistent in what you are doing.

There are two different types of fat around the abdomen; visceral and subcutaneous fat. Visceral fat is stored deep within the body and subcutaneous fat is stored right underneath your skin and this is what shakes when you move. When individuals want to get rid of abdomen fat it is the subcutaneous fat that they need to focus on.

The best way to get rid of belly fat is to exercise and eat healthy. There is no special diet that will only cause you to lose fat around your abdomen. It has been found that when it comes to exercises for six pack abs, you need to have a good combination of aerobic exercise and weight training. The main issue with following a healthy diet is your calorie intake as most individuals actually underestimate the amount of calories that they consume each day.

It is recommended that you exercise five to six times a week for at least 30 minutes. Just doing aerobic exercise will not provide you with any results as you need to use full body cardiovascular exercise and resistance training. Many people think that all you need to do is sit ups or crunches but this does not make you lose fat. Sit ups will tone your stomach muscles but not help you lose fat.

Having an understanding of how your body burns food for energy is also important. Your body’s first choice for energy is carbohydrates and then fat. By eating a low carbohydrate diet you can have your body burning more fat when it needs energy. It is also important to keep track of your calories as you want to eat less calories than you burn.

5 Of The Best Abdominal Exercises for Getting Six Pack Abs

Everyone has their own opinions about the best abdominal exercises. There are, however, one principle that cannot be ignored when it comes to picking great exercises for building six pack abs:

You need to both exercises that isolate the abdominal muscles and full body exercises that help burn fat. If you’re simply doing static exercises that isolate the abdominals, you’re selling yourself well short.

Here then are 5 of the best abdominal exercises that most people are not doing.

1. Mountain climbers.

With this exercise you get down into the pushup position, then basically “run” on the spot. Imagine climbing up an incline on all fours, but of course you’re not moving forward, but staying in one place with only your legs moving. Bring your left leg up to beneath your armpit, then repeat with your right.

This is a great full body exercise, an excellent fat burner and it really engages the abdominal muscles.

2. Static jumps.

Closely related to mountain climbers, with this exercise you also assume the pushup position. Instead of alternating between bringing your legs forward, here you “jump” forward with both legs at once, landing your feet beneath your chest while keeping your hands planted on the ground. Kick back to straighten your legs and repeat.

Done correctly, this is once again an excellent full body exercise. It sounds easy, but after a few repetitions you’ll feel a bit differently about it! One of the best abdominal exercises you can do.

3. Hanging leg lifts.

To do this exercise, you need to free hang from something like a pull up bar. Hang with your arms and legs extended. Now raise your knees, bringing them in towards your chest. Do not jerk, use a smooth, controlled motion. Another, tougher variation of this exercise can be done by keeping the legs almost straight and then lifting them in front of you until they’re level with your waist.

You can also do a few pull ups in between every few repetitions of this exercise.

4. Towel slide.

For this exercise you need a smooth surface that will allow a piece of cloth, like a towel or old shirt, to slide freely. In other words, a tiled floor will work, a carpet won’t.

For this explanation we’ll assume you’re using a towel. Assume the pushup position with your feet on the towel. Now, while keeping your legs and arms straight, slide your feet in towards your hands (until they’re more or less in line with your waist), then slide back into the full pushup position and repeat. Focus on using your abdominals to do this.

To turn this into a more involved full body exercise, do some pushups after every two or three slides.

5. Jack knives.

This is another great abdominal exercise. Lie down flat on the floor (on your back) with your legs and arms extended. Now, lift your legs while keeping them straight, and at the same time lift your arms (also keeping them straight) to touch your legs in the air above your waist. Never jerk when you do this exercise, maintain a smooth controlled motion. When you can’t do any more reps without jerking, it’s time to stop.

3 Amazingly Simple Steps To A Six Pack

Before I lay out the 3 simple steps to achieving six pack abs, I would like to tell you a story about a guy who trained like crazy, did all sorts of sit ups, crunches and curls, medicine ball workouts, weight lifting, you name it he did it, but you know what he never got his six pack and here is the reason why. He was going about it all wrong.

A lot of people are frustrated by not being able to get abdominal definition and I know how this feels as I personally struggled to achieve a nice six pack for years.

You know you are probably going to kick yourself when you finally see where this guy and most others go wrong in their vain attempts to chisel out that six pack. I know it hit me like a breath of fresh air when I suddenly saw the reason for most people’s failure, including my own.

What IS The Truth About Six Pack Abs?

Bewildered, confused, searching for truth? If this is you, then I would like to say that it is not really your fault.

Let me explain.

The captains of industry know that they stand to make far more money from you if they sell you a half solution and not a complete cure. If they can get you halfway there, and still leave you in a state of frustration, then you will be more likely to come back at a later stage and buy their next offering, since your initial problem remains unsolved.

What I am talking about is the fitness industry ab wonder worker machines. They know very well how important physical fitness and good health is to many people, and they also know that once they establish a connection with a buying customer, their livelihood is going to be extended if they can sell you not one, not two but a seemingly endless supply of ab worker, ab lounge, ab kingwhatever products, knowing very well that the seat of the problem is not being dealt with, leaving you the purchaser wanting more and vulnerable for the next miracle cure.

Really It Is Not Your Fault

Let’s be honest here, put your hand up (don’t worry no one is looking) if you have caved into a late night infomercial of some kind and bought one of these products thinking that finally you had the answer to your lack of six pack definition?

Those deceptive commercials only show you professional models that have not used the products, or they show you customers who have used their product but only as a small part of an overall fitness campaign that really had little to do with the ab-whatever machine.

So what is the answer? What are the 3 simple steps to six pack heaven?

3 Simple Steps To Six Pack Abs

1. To achieve a six pack you need to remove the fat that hides your abdominal muscles, (we all have six packs they are just hidden).

2. You need to exercise your abdominal muscles in the correct way and at proper intervals to get definition once the fat is dealt with.

3. You need a system to help you achieve the above that will keep you motivated in your quest for abdominal definition that is going to be your guide for the rest of your life.

Now that doesn’t sound that hard does it? You see, we are brain washed by these false advertisements that promise something that cannot be delivered.

You simply cannot get out what you don’t put in.

If you don’t put in the correct amount of nutrition, regular vigorous exercise and continue to adopt this as a lifestyle, then you cannot expect to get a nice six pack or proper health for that matter.

“Get Six Pack Abs In Six Seconds”. Doesn’t that sound ridiculous? Of course it does but we have been brain washed and really it is not your fault that you find yourself here today wondering just what to do about this problem.

Now you may have heard about a fitness trainer by the name of Mike Geary, he is the author and publisher of one of the best selling ebooks of all time, on the subject of six packs, called the “Truth About Abs”. This book lays out the 3 steps above in a logical, no nonsense manner that is easy to follow. It is relatively inexpensive and just think how you will feel to have finally found a real solution to your six pack quest.

Apart from all the money you will not be spending on useless gimmicks, you will have the six pack you have always desired. So stop buying into the lies and start living the life you have always wanted, the truth is out there and it is time more people like yourself knew about it.

Best Stomach Exercises

Learn The Best Stomach Exercises

Most people find themselves wanting to look their best, and exercising their stomach muscles is usually a major part in many of the fitness programs offered today. Since a lot of time and energy will be devoted to this muscle group, it is important to know what the best stomach exercises are. There are many resources available for finding the best stomach exercises, but how can you decide which exercises are truly the best to work stomach muscles, at the physical level you are able to do?

It is important to first recognize that the best stomach exercises are obviously most effective when a person is willing to do them consistently. It does not matter how effective the exercise is, if a person isn’t going to commit to the exercise, because it will not benefit that particular individual unless they do so. It is also important to note that the best stomach exercises do not necessarily require equipment to perform them, although some machines and equipment may work quite well for some people.

People that decide on a fitness program that includes stomach exercises, need to make sure the stomach exercises will work the different parts of their abdominal muscles. Exercises that only concentrates on one area of their stomach, the overall workout results will not be as desirable. Some of the best stomach exercises will focus on all areas of the stomach such as; the side muscles, the lower abdominals, the mid section and also the upper section of the stomach.

Some of the most popular stomach exercises are crunches. That is because they are very effective and very convenient since they can be performed without any equipment and done almost anywhere. The side crunch is the next stomach exercise that is also very popular and is associated with the basic crunch, it works the area around oblique muscles.

Pilates is consider by some people to be the best stomach exercises because of the remarkable results. The reason for this is because in Pilates, the whole focus is on the core of the body which is the abdominal, or stomach muscles. Each movement in a Pilate’s will work the stomach muscles either directly or indirectly using short rapid movements. These exercises can be found on the internet, where you will find either the exercise itself or video’s that can be purchased.

Another good exercise that several fitness experts consider to be one of the best stomach exercises involves laying flat on your stomach, leg straight and then raising your body up using your arms as your hands are clasped together and keeping your body straight as if doing a pushup. Hold this position as long as you can stand. You will begin to notice the muscles in your stomach getting stronger.

Remember again though that just because one person may consider a specific exercise to be the best stomach exercise, that does not necessarily mean it is the best for everyone. Each person’s body is different and will respond differently to certain movements. Any one serious about working abdominal muscles will find it most helpful to try several different exercises, before deciding which one they can begin to feel and see results with. If an exercise is too strenuous for you to correctly do, or does not feel like it has done anything for your stomach muscles, then that exercise is clearly not the best one for you and you need to find one that will work best for you.
